Most recently I have immersed myself in a Capilano River Canyon series. Daily dog walks in the canyon adjacent to my home in North Vancouver, in ever changing conditions, have inspired these paintings. You will find them first up in the Coastal B.C. Landscapes section of my portfolio, followed by some work I did while spending several weeks in the Rathtrevor Park area of Vancouver Island, one of which is pictured above.
A cabin on Parker Island B.C, off the coast of Vancouver, is another landscape I adore. With three grandchildren on nearby Galiano Island and an airy porch on the bluff by the sea in which to paint, I have been inspired by the light, the ocean, the fir and arbutus groves, the eagles and even the rocks and moss.
Having passed many summertime hours in another small porch studio at a beloved family haven on Otter Lake, Ontario, I’m happy to share some of the paintings I have produced there in the COTTAGE ART section of my portfolio, all evocative of life in the heart of Ontario’s Rideau Lakes Cottage Country. Lake, sky, boats, ever changing light, a water loving yellow lab and a chipmunk crazy springer spaniel, all continue to provide endless subjects to paint.
I’ve always had a passion for portraiture. In the PORTRAITS section of my portfolio you’ll find both commissioned works and also some I have done of friends and family, even a self portrait which I’m told makes me look miserable!
OTHER WORK includes paintings that just don't fit into my other categories... French cafes, pastries, a turkey named Harper and some far flung landscapes to name a few....
I hope you enjoy my website and I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or wish to purchase a painting.
